It’s been a while since i checked or updated these. Also consider the lowercase ‘g’ shape for children.Īlso note that many fonts have non-arch ‘a’s in their italic sets. This isn’t 100% complete, there are a few more quirky “display font” options.įonts marked * also have a loopy ‘k’. If only the current Shas too small fonts, you may need to contact the official support of the software to get the most suitable solution for the software, because this does not seem to be a display problem in the Windows, there are similar issue in this community. I’ve compiled a quick list here, ordered by ‘number of styles’ each typeface has available (this tends to be a good indicator of typeface completeness/quality – though several useful ‘display’ typefaces often only have 1 style): Typeface (+ link) I thought I’d also check through Google Fonts, and there are quite a few options for web fonts. There are several usual suspects here, such as Sassoon Primary, FSAlbert, Futura, even (shudder) Comic Sans! where the lowercase ‘a’ has no top arch (also called “single-story”). 6.On a recent project i was looking at web font options for a particular style consistent with primary school typeface usage – i.e. This is exactly what you are looking for.6.8K Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition.405 Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition The short answer is very much, it depends on the weight and font used.88 Persistent Worlds & Multiplayer for NWN (not EE).393 Custom Content & Community Exp Pack. While I can accept the imprecision when moving party members, dialog is a different story because you can't undo mistakenly selected dialog options. For these reasons, I always quick save before initiating a dialog. After multiple failed attempts to select this way, I sometimes end up having to select with just a normal click without dragging. While the highlighting helps calibrate when doing a click, it can still jump to another dialogue option upon release due to the broadness of our fingertips.Īlso, my experience has been that sometime, after dragging the highlighted option around with my finger, nothing gets selected upon release. In the left pane, click Adjust font size (DPI). To create a custom DPI scale Click to open Personalization. I have set up my PC for larger fonts, this app does not respect those larger fonts. To see the changes, close all of your programs, and then restart Windows. The fonts in the General Tab are impossible for me to read. It is hard to make sure that the release point of a finger is where you want it without being extremely deliberate about it, which ruins immersion. To decrease the size of text and other items on the screen, click Default scale (96 DPI)fit more information, and then click OK. Touch screens are not precise when used with fingers because games usually register the release point as the location of the click. If that doesn't work for your setup, you can try this unofficial fix. In any case, for a game that's as text heavy as this, it is completely unplayable for me. This will scale UI to make it 'bigger', which also makes the fonts 'bigger'. I think it's a combination of the words being too small, not sharp, and too close together. I find the selecting work around insufficient. There is an Auto Scale UI option under Graphics settings for people on high dpi screens. This will increase all fonts and likely, you will find a value there that is pleasing. I discovered the dragging after the latest update. Increase the 'Scaling factor' in 'Tweaks', 'Fonts' tab a little, up to 1.1 or 1.2. Some of my friends have the same Problem with fonts/text, they can read the text, but this makes no fun to read or play. After 30min my eyes burns, so i have to quit the game. Other than that, I find the text borderline small myself, but I don't think they'll be able to make it bigger due to the text wrapping that would occur. I preordered Europa Universalis 4 and yesterday i tried the demo, But i cant play this game that much, because of the fonts and text. It ought to have been mentioned in the manual and/or the tutorial, I didn't know about it myself until Trent posted the info somewhere. Regarding tapping the wrong dialogue choice, if you tap and hold a dialog choice, you can move your finger up and down the choices, and you'll select only when you release. Play around with it and you might figure it out. If I remember correctly, try right clicking on your desktop (the background, doesn’t matter) and configure display settings. Oh man I remember I dealt with the same thing with utorrent a few years back. Not only is it hard to read, but I have tapped a dialog choice I did not intend to make since the words were so small. If so, I can't see it under options because the font all the whole interface is too tiny. I certainly hope they have an option to make the font larger. To me, this is a larger issue than anything else. Obviously, this will not be an issue for many, but even with my reading glasses on I find it difficult.
